The most exciting music, for me, is that which defies attempts to classify by genre. I think that most of the artists on my list certainly fit that bill. While some may stand with one foot firmly in a specific genre- they all are pushing boundaries, redefining, or flat out refusing to be bound by their respect genre roots.
